Part of the 2021 Inktober series, where I created this gouache artwork based on a prompt word:
The prompt for the first day of Inktober is 'Crystal,' which only really got me thinking about light. So I've painted a wall of bush where the trees are differentiated by the light that touches their top leaves. This area of bush is just above Hanson Street in Newtown, and features some glints of pink gum flowers.
A6 Greeting card, blank inside, 250gsm textured paper stock. Card and envelope made locally in Te Whanganui-a-tara, Wellington.
