Part of the 2021 Inktober series, where I created this gouache artwork based on a prompt word:
The prompt for the eighth day of Inktober from Furrylittlepeach is 'Crown.' The way the fronds of a Nīkau palm stand up strong together remind me of a crown. So I've painted some particularly beautiful ones I saw on a walk out near Karekare beach earlier this year. So lush, and so so precious.
A6 Greeting card, blank inside, 350gsm textured paper stock. Card and envelope made locally in Te Whanganui-a-tara, Wellington.
